Tails 155 raised a good point about some crappy remakes of classic TV series (Dukes of Hazzard, etc.) possibly confusing some solvers of Puzzle 20. (Ok, he didn't call them "crappy", I did, but it's my faulty memory, I'll remember it however I like. ) So, I made a quick edit to add a clue, but I'm angry that I even have to. Hollywood, please stop remaking 1960s-1980s sitcoms into movies! They suck, and ruin my memories of the original shows. I'm probably in the minority, considering how much cash these films rack up, but darn. Seeing Lindsay Lohan stink it up with Herbie just was horrible.

totally with you actually unless it's a remake of a movie that could be made much better with new comp technology, Hollywood shouldn't touch it and even if they can update it, it better have as good, or better actors

I'm in agreement. Alot of these old shows I remember watching as a kid & really enjoyed. A good movie made from them would have been fun to take my kids to, to show them some of the goofy stuff that was cool when I was a kid. The movies they are doing aren't anything I'd want my kids to set their eyes on.

I agree! I mean, in the new Dukes of Hazzard, Uncle Jesse (played by Willie Nelson) smokes some weed out of an apple, for Pete's sake. Sure, it's a Willie Nelson joke, but has nothing to do with the original show.

well lets be honest here, people ar running kinda short on ideas for movies at this point. also, i guess they are trying to use that good ol nostalgia factor to boost sales. i just kinda get pissed off when they make movie versions of good books (ie. The Da Vinci Code) i havent seen that yet, but it better live up to the book.

i think if the director has immagination (perhaps for movie ideas we should ask 12 year olds, most of them i know are at the peak of their creativity... and it dies in a couple years, take advantage of it) but i think also, if the book can be done in a couple hours (Dante's the Inferno, may happen, i think there's a TON you could do computer wise) it should get a chance, but LOTR... the book is like 3 inches thick... who are we kidding making it into a movie?

I happen to be in agreement with all of you about the remakes of older movies and sitcoms. They never live up to the original, case in point Willy Wonka...I mean come on, nobody, not even the hot Johnny Depp who was rather creepy in his version, can live up to Gene Wilder's version. I was really disappointed with the new one and the use of computer generated Oompa Loompa's, they were part of what made the orginal so good. I could go on and on about how bad the 2nd one was copared to the first, but I won't.. Oh and phlakk...I loved the Da Vinci Code and am looking forward to seeing the movie just to see how it compares to the book....I too hope they do it justice...it's gonna suck if it doesn't follow along with the book....

get this, they're making a GAME of the Da Vinci Code.... and... in case that doesn't annoy you enough? "With all new puzzles not seen in the book or the movie" ... isn't that more of franchise robbery than a game from movie/book?
(and didn't Depp look like a woman in Willy Wonka?)

speaking of asking 12 year olds, my 12 year old thought that the original Willy Wonka was much better.

Actually, I liked the newer version of charlie and the chocolate version because it was far more accurate to the book...though, I think burton could have picked someone better than johnny depp for that role...^^

I loved the original Chocolate Factory. Gene Wilder was quite scary....Johnny's Wonka was quirky a social misfit but not scary. Wilder's seemed like his mugshot should be hanging in a post office somewhere.
