Great riddle so far. I can't get past level 20 right now, but it's been fun up to this point.

You can solve this without wingdings.
But Google is your friend on this one (as always)! See if you can find anything about these famous cars ...

This is pretty interesting... I've got the names of the cars, and, I think, the "extra information" that I need. Unfortunately, I don't see how the wingdings fits into it, or how one would be able to solve the riddle without it. Also, what do the numbers mean? And which set should I follow: the one on the license plates, or the one on the pictures?

Never mind! I got it! I still don't get the wingdings, though...

I made a better ride, but only 3 so far, now where is the blasted car#1? Errata: Never mind, found them all. Plate of car#3 turns out to be the hardest one. Mail sent to thealchemist.

I just want to register my unhappiness with this level. First, if you do not recognize that these are famous cars -- I didn't, I guess I'm not culturally in-tune enough -- then it is impossible to solve the puzzle. Like me, you can spend hours trying this and that and it's a waste of precious life. Second, mentioning webdings here is evil. There are so many ways you might use arrows that you are just sending people on dead ends for the sheer joy of watching them squirm. I suggest that the hints should include something to suggest that these are famous cars that if you don't recognize them, then you better find out about them; and that you mention something in the webdings dialogue that you are not using them on this puzzle. It's still a challenging, fun, and clever puzzle, but those two defects are just terrible.

Hi yehadut, Thank you for the feedback. The 'dings are actually important, but maybe not in the way you realize just yet. However, your complaint about the nature of the cars is a valid one. I'll be adding a tweak to the puzzle shortly to help bridge that gap. EDIT: Puzzle has been tweaked. Feedback welcome - too easy now?

this is by far the most inappropriate of the URLs I think from this hint I have the answer but it's not working... Am I supposed to be "going down," or is there something else that I'm missing about the plates? PM me if you can nudge me, please.

"Going down" is only used for the earlier puzzles, or at least it is as far as I am right now... As for the plates, they arent the original plates are they???

I've done some googling and have plates for all 4 cars, but some cars have more than one plate. One format has a plate exemplar from each car. Anyone agree that this is the set to use?

Well, yes and no. I still come up with four plates, each of which has three alphas and 3 numerics. Some of the movies are not remakes, unless turning a book into a movie is considered a remake, and rotating a plate is certainly not a remake. Whatever, I don't see how wingdng3 can be used to turn these plates into a url, so here I sit until I can break free and see a new angle on the solution, like you did. Hock and thingy were dead ends, and thenumbers don't sem to offer any guidance. Me oh my.

Got it. Must say that the pic title was most UNhelpful. My only confusion was about a Bondian roll, not a re-make. And so it goes..............
