Anyone else addicted to this silly game show? I don't know what it is that keeps bringing me back to watch... maybe that it takes no skill at all LOL It is enjoyable-- And I like the fact that they show what could have happened if the person had of kept going...

I smell an Enigma Level here somewhere... I like the show too. Actually, there is a bit of logic than can be applied to determine whether or not to keep going or cut your losses. Let me illustrate the general concept with a puzzle: A thoroughly honest game-show host has placed one million dollars behind one of three identical doors. There is a goat behind each of the other doors. You have no prior knowledge that allows you to distinguish among the doors. "First you point toward a door," he says. "Then I'll open all but one of the other doors to reveal goats. After I've shown you the goats, you make your final choice whether to stick with your initial choice of doors, or to switch to the remaining door. You win whatever is behind the door you have chosen." You begin by pointing to door number 1. The host shows you that door number 3 has a goat. Should you switch to door #2, or keep door #1? If you answer, explain why. I'll be back soon with an explanation.

you should switch... it increases your odds by 16.6666666666666666666% is what the 'answer' is... however i don't follow... because isn't the person writing that.... not taking into account there's also only 2 doors BEFORE the switch?

switch you have a 2/3 chance of having the right case
Lets do this in a choice tree
Goat Goat Money ^ ^ ^ Switch stay switch stay Switch Stay Money Goat Money Goat Goat Money
So you see if you switch you have a 2/3 chance of getting the money while if you stay you only have a 1/3 chance
Like it i personally thinks its easy

I'd stay with my gut instinct -- only reason being that I am stubborn... And goats are kinda cute
