He does seem multi talented, but as far as ranters go I prefer Denis Leary. My fave stand up comedian routines though are the old Howie Mandel and Billy Cosby ones. Their's is a more story teller style.

Personally I like George Carlin, but I know alot of people don't because is by his own admission, an atheist. I think it's silly to not like a person because of their beliefs, but then again there are a bunch of closed minded people out there.
But yeah his rude, crude, and hilarious!!

Didn't know he was an atheist, doesn't change my opinion of his comedic abilities, there are alot of comedians (and other people) that don't claim to be atheists, but might as well for all their lack of attention on God. At least George is honest in what he believes in. (But God still believes in George)

lol if religion is that strong of a decision maker for a person then who needs them? I understand believing in a religion but to make that your decision-maker? that's sad

lol, george has one routine talking about how he tired to believe in god but didnt see enough proof, so he decided to pray to Joe Pesci instead. good times
yes, he is an anthiest, he pokes fun at religion. also, he pokes fun at EVERYTHING. its kinda dumb to laugh at everything he makes fun of, then get mad when it offends you personaly.

Love George Carlin--in the 60s & 70s he was very important and cutting edge. He has a wonderful ability to point out how silly we humans can be... His 7 words you can't say on TV routine will go down in history as one of the best comedy routines ever! My favorite of his subjects is when he talks about how we value our "stuff" - brilliant
