Ok we've talked about crappy movie/sitcom remakes, but what about those movies that were all hyped up to be wonderful, and when you watched they just let you down? Here's my Top 5 List:
5. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 4. The Village 3. The Boogeyman 2. Grandma's Boy 1. Blair Witch Project
I'm sure there are about 50 million bajillion more, these are just the ones that stick out the most to me.

LOTR, even after the eighth of a day i spent watching the first one, so much of the story was missed that i've decided there's no way to make it a good set

yeah I never got the whole concept of those movies...not my genre I guess. Of course I never sat down and watched them all the way through either, I got bored with them.... Sorry if I offend anyone with that statement...I know alot of people love the LOTR Trilogy. I'm just not one of them...

never saw any of them, so thanks amyd for saving me the trouble. The only movie I can think of I was really dissappointed in was Monster's Ball. It was the first movie I felt I had to turn off before finishing.

i feel the same about LOTR, personally (i don't say 'no offense', at least not to anybody but Tolkien) i don't like ANY of the LOTR stuff, which is odd to me because i normally love that style stuff... something to me about having a 3 hour movie because a book as so many key elements that it's impossible to follow without otherworldly mythology knowledge and a thesaurus/dictionairy

Interesting thread! I was disappointed by (in no particular order)
1. Hannibal (Why, Jodie Foster, why? darn yoU!) 2. Star Wars: Episode 1 3. Signs (by the time "The Village" came out, my expectations were appropriately low.) 4. The Hulk 5. Any Batman movie after the first two Tim-Burton ones.

well.. not too much blood or anything...swearing is minimal if any. but the storyline is complicated and kinda dark. also, the main character is quite the linguist...may be hard for the little ones to follow. *edit* upon seeing it again, no. not a kids movie. at all.

Yes, Jodie should have been in Hannibal....it just wasn't the same. At least they kept Anthony Hopkins though, wouldn't have been worth making without him..... Finally someone other than myself who remembers the 2 original Batman movies (the ones with Micheal Keaton). I argued with my husband for 2 weeks until I could prove to him that Micheal Keaton was Batman twice....and no, none of the others compare to them energytheif.

The original ones are better than the newer ones tails155. and to comment on your other post above...yeah I think you are the only one not disappointed by the Super Mario Brothers movie. Yeah it had some funny stuff, but for the most part I didn't care for it...I suppose you probably liked the tv series of it too?

Don't feel bad gmcmom, alot of people missed them. They didn't do justice to the game in my opinion, but I guess some people liked em...or at least one person did
