Johnny,
Thanks for starting such a thread!
I'd like to welcome everyone, and thank you all for road-testing our Enigma Puzzle... thanks to your suggestions, we're making the puzzles better (some more challenging, some more fair).
I'll be back with an edit to tell some details about me. :-)

Hello, etc. And this riddle is fun! Good learning curve too, and totally fair!

Thanks Maniac, fair is what we were aiming for.
After NotPron, and although it is a fantastic riddle, it kind of alienated those without a supreme knowledge of computers/programs, not to mention the inside (or foreign) knowledge.
We are striving to make a decently hard riddle with no need of any extraneous programs bar those that come already installed on your comp (or possibly for future levels, free ware doohickeys that are perfectly safe and legal *cough*)
Hope you all enjoy! ;D

Read 242 times but only 7 posts? Too sad.
Hello Energythief and Ripperdoc! I alternately love you and hate you, depending on which level I'm currently working on.
HI! =)

I've been greatly enjoying the puzzles, and truely appreciate the amount of work that must be involved in putting something like this together, as well as making yourself available when we need an extra nudge (or all out push) in the right direction. I'm just curious as to what "karma" means in the member info part of the posts.

ah why the heck not, i havent posted in a while. h'lo all! ah, it feels good to say hi... ;D energytheif. just wanted to thank you for all you've done for us here. we all really appreciate all teh effort in making these and helping us through them. gmcmom, karma is just kinda a rating system for members by other members. if someone thinks you may deserve it, they will "exhalt" you as kind of a thank you or whatever. alternately if you are a jerk of a spammer you may get "smited", god forbid... also, thanks too all those helpfull people (currently) hanging out on 58 with myself. probably could not have come this far without you all. *high five* *edit* make that 64

Hi from the frozen north! (thank goodness we are leaving soon!) Just wanted to say THANK YOU for invading my mind ever since I found this puzzle on the net. It has been a love/hate/love relationship since level 10. (simply because I have little knowledge of pc files ) But in the end, Enigma is better than crack and I keep coming back! ;DThanks for a great game and an even better way to waste a day! Alli~

Seems Ripperdoc hasn't been online (at least in this forum) since Dec. 2005.
Nevertheless, whoever conjured up these riddles should be thanked.
As this forum's topic is "Introduce yourself", I should write a bit about myself. I've already given some info in my profile, so there's almost nothing to be added.
Just ask for more ;D

Ripperdoc still plays a role in the formation of the riddles, offering ideas and (most importantly) checking the logic and flow of the riddles. He just doesn't have much time to devote to actual riddle creation these days. Hey, here's a fun idea... wonder if anyone can tell which riddles he created vs. the ones I did... Maybe I'll start a thread.
