Hi slamb871 - Puzzle 10
You don't get a chance to specify what it is going to open in. Like I said, I tried configuring the extension to open in Real Player ... didn't work ...in wordpad ... didn't work .... and in messing around with file types I just about crashed the computer ... all my drives A:, C:, D: and E: wanted to open in RealPlayer .... I couldn't explore the contents of any drive. Fortunately I found a fix for it in one of the XP troubleshooting forums ..... but it scared the life out of me ... my computer was suddenly junk.
Unless you have Windows Media Player 11 you probably can't relate to this problem. It seems to me that Microsoft has configured Windows Media Player 11 to take the default position over any other player that resides on the computer and won't allow any other application to become the default.

When I use Netscape 7.2 and I enter the URL to get my_playlist, it shows the playlist directly in the browser.
As for the notepad: Open notepad then go to 'open file' then make sure you change the types of files you can open.
And yes I do have Windows Media Player 11, and there is a way to change it so it is not the default music player, but I cannot for the life of me remember what I did to change that.

Hi slamb871 - Puzzle 10 I didn't get anywhere trying notepad. the URL is entered into the address bar of puzzle 10 and it calls up the web page from the internet ... so as far as notepad is concerned there is nothing to click on for it to open. I did manage to get somewhere. I opened Real Player and clicked on 'Open" It allows you to enter the location of a clip or a web page. So I entered the address I would use for Puzzle 10 ... = members.shaw.ca/energythief/My_playlist.(***)A box pops up saying "A General Error has occured" and in the box it displays the file number, the Title and the Artist for the first file. When I click on OK it opens again with the file number 02 and the Title and the Artist for the second file ..... and so on for all 11 files. So, in a way I can see all of the information that you would see on the playlist .... except not all at once. So far that's the best I've been able to do.

Thank you, thank you, Energy Thief!
That little dodge will probably come in handy for a lot of things.

i have the playlist but number 8 is missing, is that suppose to mean anything, or is there something wrong with my computer number eight is not missing, it has an interesting name though. it certainly means something, though - this is less about a single title, and more about the way all the titles fit together. i wasn't able to use a .mp3 file extension, but others, like .exe or .pls or .b4s hold merit. you can actually manipulate a .b4s extension using the + and - signs to hide unnecessary / REPEATED information. why don't you give that a try??

I've found the playlist, but is there any way to find the answer without going through all that downloading crap?
