I'm stuck. I've deciphered the clue in the picture and thus think I know what to do with the supplied numbers but can't work out where the text is to apply this. I thought it might be related to the text found on the previous level but that doesn't work and I can't find any more clues on level 48 (I thought the page title may be relevant but it hasn't helped). Any tips would really be appreciated.

Grant's post didn't make any sense to me until just now...when I figured it out myself. The thing is, now I am in the same position as Mr. Bovey. Where-O-where shall I apply my new found information??

I've also been stuck at this point for days now. I can't find any unresolved clues or bits of information I haven't used, so would really appreciate a hint from someone.

Think about the question. How would you answer it?

Ok - got it now, you cunning b*****d! Btw, the code for the second letter in the penultimate word seems wrong.

A nudge would be really helpful for me too, mirror2liquid and myself are working together on the puzzles, but we're really stuck here...
anyone?

[glow=red,2,300] NOTE: There was an error in the source clue for level 48. It has now been corrected.[/glow] Thanks to all who pointed it out. Karma was handed out like candy, etc. etc.

You really have to ask yourself the question asked in the title. Not only for this level... but in general!

mirror2liquid & amynthis I guess your problem is the code?! I have to admit, if you haven't seen it before, it's hard to recognize. My hints: Benjamin Franklin would very probably be able to solve it for you. On your search look for square and compasses. I hope this makes it a little easier for you. Greetz, Mittens

Ok. I got the Ben Franklin +squares and compasses bit. I got the secret code bit.
However, when I decypher it... I get gibberish. I used a few possible answers to the question in the page title as the key... but still get gibberish.
What am I missing?
And if all of the above was too specific, I apologize!

Big dirty hint: There appear to be two different versions of said code on the net. Only one will yield a sensible answer.

*nods*
I know what the BIIIIG word is... but after that things get a bit... gibberish.
EDIT: HA! There are THREE versions, and wouldn't you know it... we had the wrong two. *grins as the hamster starts turning the wheels again as she tries to figure out what NEXT??*

Actually; from Grevion's research; there are 3 or 4 different versions. I sent you a PM indicating the use of one of them; can you confirm that was the right one?

Nevermind... I have it deciphered; now I just get to stumble from there.

Ive found the code at the top and used the hint in the picture to solve it but it just seems like a load of random letters. and what is this about Ben Franklin? and the numbers? whats going on? can someone please give me a nudge
I answered the question and found what was hidden there (very clever E.T.) but i still dont know what to do
